How To Bring Back the Spark in Your Copywriting

copywriting How To Bring Back the Spark in Your Copywriting Have you reached a certain point where you feel worn out with your copywriting? Do you find yourself staring at your keyboard with nothing to write about? Are you running out of fresh ideas to begin with? And if ever you have finished something, does it seem lifeless and boring to read? Does the writing that used to inspire and excite you now feel like a burden you have to endure?

You don’t want to be a quitter, especially if copywriting has been your bread and butter for years. However, you do want to get back that old feeling: the way you felt when you just started with copywriting.

The Relationship of Copywriting

Copywriting is like a relationship. You feel a certain connection whenever you write. You feel connected to your audience and how your business can provide for their needs. Just like any relationship, there will be days when you feel disconnected with your writing. That is why you have to put some extra work to revive your connection.

Here are a few ideas you can use to bring back the spark in your copywriting:

  1. Rediscover yourself.
The reason why you were so excited in the beginning of your copywriting was because you had a lot of knowledge to share with your audience. The minute you stop learning, trouble sets in. Learning is a continuous process, especially for copywriting. You always have to find something new to share and excite your audience.

Do not rely on what you already know. Learn a new skill or improve some of the skills that you already have. Be brave and bold enough to write on a topic that you have never written before. Soon, you will rediscover that you are highly capable of something more.
  2. Interact with your Audience.
If you feel that you don’t deliver something valuable to your audience and they start to drift away from your site, it’s time to interact with them. Here are some ways to do it:

    • Set-up a free Question-and-Answer (Q&A) call. Invite your readers to send in their questions that you will answer live during the call.
    • Create a blog post instead for the Q&A.
    • Make it a competition among your audience to get a one-on-one chat with you.

This exercise will not only increase your website traffic, It will also boost your confidence. You will be surprised with how much you know and how much information you can share to your audience.

  3. Reconnect
Make some reconnections. Although it is nice to find some solitude to revitalize your energy, it is also ideal to take some time to socialize. Here’s how:
    • Check out your favorite posts. Let them inspire you again the way it used to.
    • Set up a live event with your audience to discuss a specific topic.
    • Connect with someone – your readers, colleagues, or social media community.
