SEO Copywriting is particularly sensitive. It has to be readable, informative and relevant. Not only for human searchers, but also for the search engines. SEO Copywriting goes even one step further as it takes special consideration of using keywords and key phrases.

We have already given you three common SEO copywriting mistakes in the past. Now here’s four more that you should avoid so that you and your content will not look bad to the readers.

  1. Wrong Spelling.  The MS Word Processor comes with a spell checker to assist users with their writing. But somehow, there are still numerous websites that features bad spelling and grammar. Be sure to check your content over and over again before you finally published it. Otherwise, you’ll lose your readers because of this dreadful error.
  2. No Images.  They say a picture paints a thousand words. It really does. SEO copywriting is not just about the creative use of words. You need to support it with images and pictures that will help tell the story or message. Images play an important role in enticing the interest of your readers.
  3. Boring and Uninteresting Content.  Any writing online including SEO copywriting must aim to achieve higher quality than print. This is due to the fact that the Internet is the most widely used medium today. People prefer to use the internet among other medium if they are searching for specific information. So it is important that the content you published online are relevant and useful based on the keywords you have chosen.
  4. Over the Top Plugging.  There’s nothing wrong with a little plugging in your SEO copywriting. But if it becomes too much and overbearing, it will do no good for your website. People want to interact and communicate. Address their concerns through your content and talk about topics that are of interest to them.
